   Fantastic blog!!!
   I just happen to see your blog after I found visitors from your blog who has also visited my blog.

   I have been running a blog on tips for translators for the last 5 years and I write on similar topics. I was really impressed with your blog get-up, subjects and the way topics are handled.     I was wondering if it’d be possible for you to explain how Sworn translation works in Greece, as compared to the Spanish system, it would seem that all translations must be done directly by the Ministry. It seems to be such a different system!

      Hello Maria,
      Sworn translations in Greece can only be provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, lawyers (with the relevant qualifications depending on the language) and graduates of the Ionian University (Department of Translation & Interpreting). That’s it.
      If the certified documents are to be used in Greek (i.e. Greek authorities), then one of the aforementioned options must be used, otherwise they won’t be accepted.
      For all other cases (use abroad or for company use even in Greece), any professional translator is fine.
