Some simple guidelines
-
The post should contain at least 600 words (exceptions can be discussed, e.g. a post with an infographic and a short description). If your post is longer than 700-800 words, we can discuss splitting it to two parts, it will make it easier to read.
-
The content must be original (it shouldn’t have been posted anywhere online before).
-
The format of the post should be Word, Rich Text Format, Google Docs, Pages or Open Office.
-
Any images you want to be included in your post must be sent as attachments. Make sure you have the right to publish an image and include the appropriate credits in the post.
-
The post should be fully spell-checked and edited.
-
You must provide a short author bio (including a picture if you want) that will appear below the post. Your bio should include links to your website and/or blog, along with your social media info (Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, whatever you prefer).
-
Please don’t include any affiliate links but do include links to any websites, online resources etc. that you mention in your post.
-
You’ll need to be available to reply to any comments that might be posted in the few weeks after your post is published.
-
You agree that your post will be shared on social media (Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, Google+, Scoop.it etc.).
Sounds good? Email us your post proposal to info@linguagreca.com – we look forward to reading it.
Translators and interpreters: Take part in our ongoing blog series!
My first translation project
On July 26, 2013, Christine Walsh was the first one on our blog to share the story about her first translation project. Would you like to tell the story about your exciting first translation project or interpreting gig? We also accept French, German and Greek posts, so feel free to write in your native language in case you don’t feel comfortable writing in English. Send us an email with the post, along with your bio and photo at info@linguagreca.com.
How I Work
This series of posts was inspired by Lifehacker’s How I Work series. It’s about time we discover how our colleagues work and get to know them a little better. If you want to share how you work, email us at info@linguagreca.com so we can send you the Word template where you can fill in your answers and bio (including your site/blog/social media links) and then send it back to us as an attachment along with your photo (optional but preferred). If you don’t like any of the questions, just delete them and add your own questions (and answers).
